Filling in the Blanks
I'm working on this and trying to fill in the blank spots. I've been working on it off and on (mostly off) for a year and a half. Hoping to finish it for our guild quilt show in June.

Shops I visited in Florida
I visited a few shops in Florida on our way back from our vacation in The Bahamas (we drove to Florida and flew over to The Bahamas from West Palm Beach).
This one in Rockledge came very highly recommended from my friend Cindy. It ranks right up there with Hancock's of Paducah in Kentucky! Look at all this fabric!!!
Husband does a happy dance!!!! Haha!
I also visited a shop in Ocala and Lake City. And forgot to take a picture of the one in Tallahassee. By then we had been trapped in Florida by the snow and ice storm that came through the south and were getting a little weary. I was the only one shopping that day!
And here are a few of the things I came home with:

No Vacation From Fabric
While on vacation in The Bahamas I DID NOT take a vacation from fabric and sewing. My friend C. is a quilter also. She happened to have a sewing machine on board the boat. And I happened to take my hand sewing with me. And she happened to know where to buy more fabric (just in case we NEEDED it). There is a batik fabric made only in The Bahamas called ANDROSIA. You can read about it here: http://www.androsia.com
And you can see some of it here:
It's more expensive than the fabric here in the states so I just bought a few quarter yard pieces. I wanted every color there but couldn't afford to buy it all. But THEN!!! Nearly hidden on a bottom shelf I found scrap bags with just about every color imaginable. So I bought two bags. Well, maybe three.
Tomorrow, I'll post pictures of fabric shops I visited in Florida. Stay warm! The sun is trying to peek out here today.....and more snow predicted this evening.

Vacation
I'm a little bit slow to blog these days, but it's really cold here! And it's hard to get used to since we got back from our vacation in......wait for it.......wait for it.......THE BAHAMAS!!!!
This is something I never thought we would ever do, but things fell in place and we got to spend 7 days on our friends' sailboat on several little islands. I don't want to brag too much so I'll just show a couple of pictures and say how thankful we are that we had this vacation.
