Here's the latest picture I have of him (before and after his latest haircut), including photo bomb by his sister.

Happy birthday to my boy
Today is Aaron's birthday. He's 29 today. He's my baby. He'll always be my baby. Seems like only yesterday when that very large nurse layed across my middle and pushed his 9 pound 9 ounce body out of me. I don't remember it being a lot of fun, but Aaron has been LOADS of fun! He has a wonderful sense of humor and keeps me laughing whenever I'm around him.

Baby things
I got a text from my daughter a few days ago. It seems that she has discovered that Baby Nola has inherited my long waist. Her onesies are too short in the seat. The outfit I got her for Christmas will only be worn one time.
MOM TO THE RESCUE!!!!
I inserted a little "extender" and replaced the buttons with velcro. Who ever thought it was a good idea to put tiny buttons as fasteners in a onsie has never tried to dress a wiggly baby.
I just happened to have fabric that was a close match. Doesn't matter since it won't be seen under the overalls anyway.
Even with the "fix" I'm wondering if she will be able to wear it more than twice. Her five month old body seems to be growing at an incredible rate!
I made these little shoes for her cute little curly toes and can hardly wait to try them on her when I see her later today.

Dresden Plate
The first quarter of the center part of my quilt top is done. I'm hand appliqueing it. I have almost all of the big plates sewn together and ready to appliqué, too. Progress is being made!

Winter
It's cold everywhere! But here in Northeastern Oklahoma we made it into the 40’s today. Our weather never seems to stick around for more than a few days at a time. So one day it's around 0* and the next day it can be 40*. I've heard the term "bipolar" given to our weather.
After a "break" to take car of my grand kids, have Christmas, have company, etc., I spent a couple of hours working at The Cotton Patch this afternoon. It's always good to be back surrounded by beautiful fabric and new books.
For those who may be wondering, my daughter has finally recovered from her 2 surgeries, 3 hospitalizations and 2 near death experiences. After almost 7 weeks she went back to work as her sister's office manager (photography business) on Friday. I'm grateful for all the prayers and kind words offered on her behalf.
Since the weather was bad and school was cancelled yesterday I had the three boys here. I took them out for haircuts (it was really cold but the roads were clear). Two of the boys let me take their pictures. The nearly 14 year old will no longer pose for me.
I didn't get to see this little cherub today but her mom sent me this picture of her. I got her the outfit for Christmas. I may have gotten her a few outfits for Christmas......and for other days, too.
She followed in her mom's footsteps and got her first tooth at 4 months.
