One Last Glimpse

Today, before I put all the Christmas decorations away, I thought I'd do one last glimpse.
This is my favorite Christmas quilt.  It all flannel and oh so cozy.  (must be why I posted it twice)

Another flannel quilt.  I'll leave this one out, cause it's a winter scene.

The Christmas wallhanging I made some years ago and the Marler Village.

Our tree this year.

The stockings were hung on the kitchen bar with care.

My collection of Jim Shore figurines....and an angel quilt that's so old I don't remember when I made it.

The brass sleigh that my dear mother-in-law gave me many years ago.

The bear that reads the ENTIRE "Night before Christmas" and the moose that sings "Santa Got Run Over by a Reindeer"--fun to have around until the grandkids push their buttons TOO many times. LOL

The tiny "quilts" on my gold tree.

The advent that I didn't exactly keep up with.

Last, but certainly not least... the true meaning of Christmas.  My favorite.

May each of you enjoy the blessings of the new year.

I think the angel wall hanging was from 1995. I only say that because we made those and the gardening ones all pretty close together and I'm pretty sure I was 15-16. I remember helping cut out the little pieces!

now THAT is decorating for christmas - Auntia put up her birthday tree and i put the santa outfit on the flamingo - i think that's as far as we got this year (except for the little advent ornament that sits on the microwave ledge, but i didn't get her out of the box till christmas eve cuz the little dove-dial-doohicky is broken and either points at the 1st or the 24th) ... oh yeah, she DID hang our stockings, too (just in time for santa), but the holders are out all year, so that probably doesn't really count ... i LOVE your flannel quilts and i LOVE that you actually USE your table runners! happy, happy new year!!!
