I'm back!

This is the longest I've ever gone without a blog update.  I don't know why it seems like such a chore.  If you're still reading, leave a comment and I'll try to update more often.

So much has happened.....
Green Country Quilters' Guild had our semi annual quilt show, the largest in Oklahoma. I won BEST HAND APPLIQUÉ with my Wacky Birds quilt.  Then it got juried into the special exhibit "In Full Bloom" at International Quilt Festival in Houston.  It will be on display November 2-6 and will travel to their other shows next year.  I can't wait to see it there.  Anyone else going to Houston?

I've done a lot of sewing....mostly finishing this year!  My guild (GCQG) is having a UFO contest this year.  It started in March and the UFOs had to be any project that was started before Jan. 1.  Final entries will be Oct. 20 and prizes in November.  I listed 23 projects and as of now I have 21 finished (well, except for binding of 2 which I will finish this week). The finished projects have been measured each month so the one who has finished the most square inches will win.  I've heard that some brave soul listed 100 UFOs!!!

I got a new granddaughter!  She'll be 3 weeks old tomorrow.  Her name is Eliza Tess and she is Nola's sister.  She's a doll!

I made all the bedding and the quilt. .....oh yeah, I forgot, I made 2 quilts...

More later....I promise to come back!

Beautiful girls. I haven't been over here in awhile. For some reason I'm having trouble posting photos to my blog since I got Windows 10, but I'm going to give it a try. I saw on the Southwood Quilt show that you were the featured Quilter, congrats on that. I'm still quilting all the time, however I'm out of room to store more quilts. I made 7 quilts from May - August this year, most of those went somewhere tho. I've also started painting, which I absolutely love, give me another outlet for my Art itch. Happy Quilting
