The Show is Over

This weekend's "Quilt Tulsa" show in Tulsa, OK was a huge success!  We had over 350 quilts in the show, 65+ vendors and classes by Gwen Marston.  My cousin and his wife came from Poplar Bluff, MO to go to the show with me.  She took the "Liberated Basket" class with me and we had a blast with Gwen!  She's a great teachers and so much fun.

DRUM ROLL, PLEASE!   Here are my winnings and the first ever picture of my Red Dresden in its completed form on my blog.

It has 56 plates, each with 20 blades, and well over 100 different fabrics.  It was machine quilted by Wanda Jones of Pawhuska! OK.  Here's a close up of the quilting.

These next three were quilted by Donna Titsworth of Inola, Oklahoma.  She does such a wonderful job for me!  I've never been disappointed.

Theresa Cussimanio (of my neighborhood!) quilted this one.  It was a last minute entry into the show and on the first day it didn't have a ribbon.  When I came back on Saturday, two of the Quilt Show Committe had placed ribbons on it.  What a surprise!

Nola's first quilt show (of course she had to go see her quilt hanging in the show!)

My cousin's wife won one of our raffle baskets.  It was full of enough fabric for two or three quilts with patterns and panels, too,
Here are all four of us.  Up until 2 years ago, it had been 35 years since I had seen Stacey.  Then I met his wife Debbie and it turns out she was interested in quilting.  She's made a few, just bought an embroidery machine and is well on her way to building a great stash of fabrics and supplies.

Here we are with Gwen.

We had a great weekend!  And the bonus......I got on the scales this morning and I had lost 5 pounds! That's what I get for helping hang over 350 quilts!  Next show.....2016!
