April UFO's

Once again I'm linking up to Carrie's UFO challenge at: apassionforapplique.blogspot.com
To try to finish some projects in the month of April.

One of these days, I'll return to the two that didn't get finished in February, but for now I'll introduce three more.

One is a tiny wool apple core quilt. I have the embroidery done and am ready to start the appliqué of the apple cores.

Another is a bright wall hanging that I did a couple of years ago as a class sample. It's a project using the x-block ruler. Needs to be quilted and bound.

And finally ( and not necessarily pictured in this order) is a quilt my stitch group is making for a special project for wounded soldiers. A local group is building a cabin on a lake where wounded warriors can come and bring their families for a time of rest and relaxation. The Tulsa community has really stepped up with donations to build the cabin. My stitch group is making 3 quilts for the beds. We have one ready to be quilted. And this one HAS to be done this month. Does it count that I'm getting help with this one???? The three quilts will be presented on the beds when the cabin has its grand opening Memorial Day weekend.

Hey! I won Carrie's giveaway for March! I'm excitedly waiting for the package to arrive.

Good luck everyone with your projects for April!

sweet little apple cores.
that second photo of the twisted fabric is pretty cool.
Nice blocks for the quilt too.
your package is on the way. You should get it by next week. I have tracking so I will keep an eye on it. Congrats!
