Thought for the Day:
Why, oh why, do I wait so long to change the blade in my rotary cutter. It works soooo much better with a new blade!

Brighten the day
Lime green has become one of my favorite colors, closing following red and turquoise. It just brightens the day, don't you think? We've had a bit of sunshine the past few days here in "Green Country" (NE Oklahoma) but I was so busy sewing that I didn't get out and enjoy it. I made my own sunshine! This little quilt will be sold at the Green Country Quilters' Guild show in June (4th and 5th) at the Small Quilt Auction benefiting our guild. Mark your calendars and come prepared for a great show. And come prepared to bid. NOTE: I've been known to buy back my own small quilts in the past.

More from Cindy
My friend Cindy (and her husband John) stopped in on their way through the state, again. We always love seeing them and we're glad they travel back and forth between Nevada and Florida a lot so we can see them often.
Cindy passes her time in the car and in the evenings working on quilts. She started this one 30 years or so ago. She finished the hand quilting on this trip. I think it's lovely.

The last 2 blocks
I finished the last 2 blocks for my Red and Black Civil War Reproduction quilt and I'm putting it together. This block has a lot of pieces. But it's not a NEARLY INSANE block like my friend Ranette makes. Hers are crazy! And tiny. They have so many pieces that making one really would make me nuts. I figure I'm already insane enough without pushing it any further.
