August 2012

Well, another month is flying by and we're finally getting into some cooler weather here in Oklahoma.

Much has been going on since my last post and a few people have "bugged" me about a new post so here I am again!! trying to remember what all has happened.

I made these little quilts for my daughter Calista's laundry room:
The pattern for the birds is from the new Piece O Cake book.  The chicken was one of their earlier patterns and the cat came from another book called "Wonderful Whimsical Quilts".

I did the quilting myself.

I finished this quilt for my friend Theresa:

Don't you just love it when quilts have feet!?

I never could get a picture showing the true colors of this quilt.  It was REALLY bright!

I made this wallet using "Texture Magic" and some of my hand dyed fabrics.  It's the first time I've cut into them and it was really hard to do.  But now I'm glad I did it.  Still haven't decided if the wallet was worth it even though I like it now that it's done.  I found the pattern hard to follow.

Lots of compartments and a pen holder.

Tim and I celebrated our 37th wedding anniversary with our dear friends Randie and Crystal.  We were also celebrating her birthday.

We also attended Tim's 40th Class Reunion in Missouri:
Here we are with our friend/"cousin-in-law" Julie.  We weren't in his class--I wasn't even in his school.  But we both gave his new hip a work out on the dance floor.
Our daughter and family went along on the trip so we could visit with Tim's step-dad and other family.  Here they are at the Washington County Fair:
And of course, I've spent some time with the grandboys this summer:
We made home made play dough....

seems most projects had a food theme:  pizza....

ice cream cone (he thinks like me!)

and of course a hot dog with relish!

Just had to add these last three of the cutest 2 year old I know.

Busy times....more later...I promise!
